Hall Rental Information

The Lakewood Masonic Temple is pleased to consider rental inquiries from organizations, businesses and individuals from the Lakewood/West Shore community for use of our Ballroom and Banquet Room. Our facilities are especially suitable for fund raising events, dances, weddings, receptions, parties, banquets, performances, meetings, seminars, trade shows and the like and will accommodate groups up to 450 persons in a single hall.

There is an ample supply of adjacent free parking.

Our Lodge Room is dedicated for use only by Masonic organizations recognized by the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio.

As with all Masonic Temples under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio, the Lakewood Masonic Temple is a smoke-free and weapons-free facility.

Policy Regarding Serving of Alcoholic Beverages

Applicable Laws.  All alcohol served for beverage purposes must be served in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, including all applicable administrative regulations; any applicable federal and local laws; and the Grand Lodge of Ohio Code, including all applicable Grand Master's edicts.

Locations of Use.  Alcohol served for beverage purposes under this policy may only be served on the non-dedicated Ballroom and Banquet Room levels of the building and/or the exterior parking lot and grounds areas.

Permit and Insurance - Not-for-Profit Organizations. Not-for-profit organizations serving alcohol for beverage purposes must obtain an Ohio liquor permit at least 30 days in advance of the event at which the beverages are to be served. The permit must be properly matched to the type of alcoholic beverages served, days and hours of service and any other applicable laws and regulations. The organizational permit holder must carry insurance with a minimum liability limit of one million dollars ($1,000,000). At least 30 days prior to the event at which the alcoholic beverages are to be served, the organizational permit holder must provide the Lakewood Masonic Temple Company with copies of the relevant permit and certificate of insurance naming the Lakewood Masonic Temple Company as an additional named insured.

Permit and Insurance - Private Individuals and Organizations not Eligible for Permits. All alcohol served for beverage purposes must be served by a third party professional bartending service or experienced bartender(s) approved by the Lakewood Masonic Temple Company at least 30 days in advance of the event at which the beverages are to be served. The bartender(s) must be sober and not consume alcoholic beverages during the course of the event. The event organizer must carry insurance with a minimum liability limit of one million dollars ($1,000,000). At least 30 days before the event at which the alcoholic beverages are to be served, the event organizer must provide the Lakewood Masonic Temple Company with a copy of the relevant certificate of insurance naming the Lakewood Masonic Temple Company as an additional named insured.

Security. The Lakewood Masonic Temple Company may, at its sole discretion, and at the event organizer's sole expense, require the presence of one or more licensed police officers at any event at which alcoholic beverages are to be served.
